The hotel had no sales manager for over 3 years when we took on this project. The hotel owner and general manager together with the front desk associates handled all incoming business. We were tasked with supporting the hotel to grow its revenues, to increase brand awareness among its target audience, to attract new potential guests and to grow the existing customer base.

The Strategy

Tap into the local accounts, global accounts and small associations by participating in events and trade shows that your target market attends. Capitalize on the in-house team utilizing traditional and digital channels to get the word out there.

Our Tactics

Be in front of the customer.

We combed a 5KM radius of the hotel ensuring every local account knew of the property. Trained the front desk team to capture incoming leads which our team converted to accounts. Implemented marketing campaigns for business travellers. Applied revenue management techniques for the meeting space.

The Results

Implementing the hotel marketing strategies lead to the growth in local accounts within the first 6 months. The hotel room night grew by 200+ within the same period. Year over year, ADR (average daily rate) grew by $12.75 and the meeting business revenues by 50%.
